108 Ambulance Staffs hold World Malaria Day Awareness campaign


Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Malaria Day, EMRI Green Health Services, the operator of the 108 Ambulance Service in Odisha, conducted a statewide awareness campaign across all 30 districts. The initiative aimed to educate rural communities on malaria prevention and promote the use of the 108 emergency ambulance services.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from 108 ambulance staff, district representatives, village leaders, and local residents. Through interactive sessions, the team emphasized simple yet effective preventive measures such as the use of mosquito nets, maintaining clean surroundings, and eliminating stagnant water to control mosquito breeding.

As part of the outreach, informational leaflets were distributed to raise awareness. The campaign also focused on informing the public about the 108 Ambulance Service, urging people to dial 108 for any medical emergency to receive free and timely ambulance assistance. Special emphasis was given to the Janani Ambulance Service, which plays a crucial role in transporting pregnant women to healthcare facilities.

The initiative received a positive response from rural communities and highlighted the commitment of 108 Ambulance staff toward public health and emergency medical support.
