Ather Energy announces “Ather Electric December” for EV two-wheeler intenders
Bhubaneswar: Ather Energy, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, announced the third edition of its month-long initiative, a program offering attractive cash discounts, EMI offers, and extended battery warranty options. Ather Electric December will be applicable for select Ather scooters.
Now in its third year, the initiative focuses on solving a common year-end concern in the auto industry: buyers delaying purchases due to perceived value loss at the turn of the calendar year. Ather counters this by offering strong assurance to December buyers through continued value, enabled by consistent backward compatibility across hardware and software.
As part of this initiative, customers can avail benefits up to ₹20,000, comprising an instant discount on credit card EMIs of up to ₹10,000, a complimentary 8-year battery warranty valued at ₹5,000, and an additional ₹5,000 cash discount*. These offers are available to cardholders of Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, OneCard, Federal Bank, Bank of Baroda, Scapia, Canara Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank and RBL Bank. Ather is also offering ‘Eight70™’, its 8-year Extended Battery Warranty worth ₹4,999, at just ₹1, allowing new buyers to secure their scooter’s battery for up to 8 years, or 80,000 km, whichever comes first.
Ather’s current product portfolio consists of the 450 series, which is engineered for performance, and the Rizta, Ather’s first family scooter. The 450 series includes the Ather 450X, 450S, and 450 Apex models, with IDC ranges of up to 161 km, depending on the variant. These scooters come with features like multi-mode traction control, MagicTwist™, and connected functionalities such as Google Maps navigation, WhatsApp on the Dashboard, and call and music control (available on the 450X and 450 Apex).
The Rizta, available in two models – Rizta S and Rizta Z, is also gaining momentum in newer markets and offers an IDC range of up to 159 km, depending on the variant. It features a large, comfortable seat, 56L of storage (including 34L under-seat and an optional 22L frunk), and ample floorboard space for rider comfort. The Rizta also comes with safety features, including SkidControl™, Fall Safe™, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and theft and tow alerts. At Ather Community Day 2025, Ather also announced a major upgrade for Rizta Z with touchscreen functionality.
