Dr Alexzandar Das Takes Charge as Chairman of ASSOCHAM Odisha State Education Council

Bhubaneswar: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)—India’s oldest, largest, and one of the most influential industry chambers—continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s economic, industrial, and trade landscape. Representing the collective voice of over 4.5 lakh members across diverse sectors, ASSOCHAM has a strong presence across Indian states and key global markets, working closely with governments, industry bodies, academia, and international stakeholders.
With comprehensive sectoral engagement spanning manufacturing, textiles and apparel, technical textiles, MSMEs, infrastructure, sustainability, export promotion, education, skilling, and innovation, ASSOCHAM has consistently partnered with Central and State Governments to conceptualise and implement investor roadshows, policy consultations, sector-specific roundtables, academia–industry dialogues, and B2G platforms. These initiatives aim to foster investment, strengthen industrial and knowledge ecosystems, and accelerate inclusive, future-ready economic growth.
In a significant development, Dr. Alexzandar Das, Chairman of the Kalinga Group of Institutions, has been nominated as the Chairman of the ASSOCHAM Odisha State Education Council. With this appointment, all ASSOCHAM-led initiatives in Odisha related to education, higher education, skill development, vocational training, EdTech, and academia–industry collaboration will be spearheaded under his leadership. Widely respected for his visionary approach to education reform, innovation, and social development, Dr. Das’s nomination is expected to substantially strengthen ASSOCHAM’s engagement with universities, colleges, research institutions, skill councils, industry partners, and policymakers across the state.
