EESL Hosts Meeting in Bhubaneswar with Channel Partners to Drive Affordable Energy-Efficient Solutions


Bhubaneswar: Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of public sector undertakings under the Ministry of Power (GoI), held a Channel Partners Programme (CPP) in Bhubaneswar to establish efficient sales channels to raise awareness and adoption of energy efficient appliances in India. The meeting also emphasized on creating efficient promotional channels for Demand Aggregation of all energy efficiency initiatives and programmes by EESL. The event saw enthusiastic participation from empaneled agencies, who engaged in a brainstorming session with the EESL officials, including Mr. Animesh Mishra (Chief General Manager, Head of Sales and CCPR), Mr. Adesh Saxena(General Manager, Technical, EESL), and Mr. Vedprakash Dindore(AGM of the Central Regional Cluster, CHO, EESL), among others. During the meeting, the group discussed EESL’s past achievements and identified key learnings to inform the future direction of its programmes.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Animesh Mishra – CGM (Sales & PRCC) said, “Bhubaneswar’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem makes it an ideal location to drive EESL’s mission of providing access to energy efficiency and creating a sustainable energy future for all. EESL has been at the forefront of driving energy efficiency in India through the innovative LED UJALA initiative, launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This program has achieved significant success, with monetary savings of ₹19,334 crores per year.

EESL’s commitment to digitalization has played a pivotal role in this success, enabling a multifaceted approach to citizen engagement and program implementation across the diverse demographics of India. While the rise of digital and online shopping platforms has been widely praised for their convenience and reach, it is important to recognize that traditional brick-and-mortar stores and channel partners still account for 70% of household consumption patterns. In light of this, EESL is actively encouraging individuals and businesses to join the mission of contributing to India’s climate change goals by becoming partners in this transformative initiative.

While addressing the session Mr. Vedprakash Dindore, (AGM, Central Regional Cluster,CHO, EESL) said that “The channel partner meeting in the city was a great success and helped us directly engage with our local partners and develop a strategy to expand our energy efficiency initiatives across the region. We discussed various business models and promotional methods to encourage the adoption of cutting-edge energy efficient as well affordable solutions that will benefit businesses, communities, and common citizens.”

During the meeting, it was announced that their energy-efficient cookstoves will be available on the eeslmart.in website in a week through the National Efficient Cooking Programme, an initiative of EESL under, Govt. Of India’s “Go Electric”Campaign. The said event was concluded by Mr. Rashmi Ranjan Satapathy, (Zonal Incharge, RO, EESL) with a vote of thanks to all the channel partners who were present at the event.
