Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar Launches Interactive “K&D Performance Review” Campaign
Bhubaneswar, March 13, 2026:Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar is launching an innovative public awareness campaign titled “K&D Performance Review” to mark World Kidney Day, highlighting the importance of kidney health and encouraging early screening. The initiative aims to shift the focus from treatment to prevention by helping people better understand how well their kidneys are functioning and why regular screening matters.
The campaign was officially launched at 12th March 2026, from the hospital, where visitors participated in an interactive sessionthat allowed people to learn about kidney health while getting their basic health parameters checked. Adding a creative touch to the campaign, the hospital introduced two mascots—Kid and Ney—who will stroll around high-footfall areas in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for a week to spread awareness about kidney health. The mascots will carry a QR Code that visitors can scan to answer few questions and learn about why their kidneys might be due for a “review.”
To convert awareness into action, the hospital is also introducing tailor-made kidney screening packagesto those who fill the Kidney Risk Assessmentdesigned to provide a comprehensive report of kidney health. These Packagescomprise of Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels which is valid till 31st March 2026.
The initiative will be led by a multidisciplinary team of specialists including Dr. Manas Ranjan Pradhan, Senior Consultant – Urology; Dr. SubodhDas,Senior Consultant – Urology; Dr. Saiprasad Sahoo, Senior Consultant – Nephrology; and Dr. Sukanto Kishore Das, Senior Consultant – Nephrology.
Doctors at Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar highlighted that,“Many kidney diseases progress silently and are often detected only at an advanced stage Therefore, ‘K&D Performance Review’ campaign is aiming to make kidney health easier for people to understand and track, much like reviewing performance indicators in everyday life. By encouraging individuals to review their Kidney Performance Indicators through regular screening and preventive care, we hope to help the community identify risks early and take proactive steps to protect their kidney health.”
