OAIC, OSSC and OSCDC have paid a total dividend of Rs. 6 crore 39 lakh 97 thousand 589 to the Odisha Government

Bhubaneswar, 30.12.2025 : The rules and regulations related to declaration and payment of dividend have been mentioned under Section 123 of the Indian Companies Act, 2013. As per the Office Circular No.-3980 dated 17.02.2016 and 30885 dated 07.11.2025 issued by the Finance Department of the Government of Odisha, it has been directed to pay 30% of the PAT (Profit After Tax) as annual dividend by a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

Accordingly, three Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Odisha, namely Odisha Agro Industries Corporation, Odisha State Seeds Corporation Limited and Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation Limited, having performed remarkably well, on the recommendation of their Board of Directors and with the approval of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, a total of Rs. 6 crore 39 lakh 97 thousand 589 was formally paid as dividend to the State Government today, in the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo at Lok Seva Bhavan. Out of which, Odisha Agro-Industries Corporation (OAIC) has paid Rs. 5 crore 23 lakh 74 thousand 222 for the financial year 2023-24, Odisha State Seeds Corporation Limited (OSSC) has paid Rs. 23 lakh 20 thousand 967 for the financial year 2021-22 and Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation Limited (OSCDC) has paid Rs. 46 lakh 51 thousand 200 for the financial years 2022-23 and 2023-24 (each) (total amount Rs. 93 lakh 02 thousand 400).

These state-owned enterprises play a vital role in promoting economic prosperity and advancing the sustainable development goals of Odisha by performing financially sound. By providing a platform for the empowerment of agriculture and farmers, these state-owned enterprises have been creating growth and new opportunities for farmers of all sections of the state. These corporations have taken a leading role in the empowerment of agriculture and farmers in the state and have become a profitable entity for the government.

At the event, a symbolic cheque was presented to the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo. Principal Secretary and Chairman of Corporations under Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee,  officers of Odisha Agro-Industries Corporation, the Managing Director of State Cashew Development Corporation Shri Subrat Kumar Panda and the Managing Director of Odisha State Seed Corporation Limited Shri Niti Ranjan Sen were present.
