Nuapada: A 50-year-old woman patient was given a new lease of life by 108 ambulance crew by donating blood to her. As per report, a 50-year-old woman named, Suru Punji of Chandpala village under Pendraban panchayat under Komna block of Nuapada district was admitted at Nuapada district headquarters hospital due to severe anemia. As her condition deteriorated there, the doctor advised the patient’s relatives to immediately collect blood from a unit of B’+ blood group. But at the same time, they were upset because the blood group was not available in the hospital.  Bhavani Shankar Sabar, a 108 ambulance driver who had come to the hospital with another patient, came to know about the patient. Fortunately, his blood group was also B’+. So he immediately went without any hesitation and donated a unit of blood to the old lady.
