Dr Soudamini Mohapatra conferred with Bhartiya Ratna Award

Bhubaneswar: Well known gynaecologist and Managing Director of Bhubaneswar-based Maternity Care Hospital & IVF Centre Dr Saudamini Mohapatra was recently awarded the prestigious Bhartiya Ratna award for 2022.

Dr Mohapatra was conferred with the award for her valuable contribution in the field of medical treatment  and dedicated service to the society. Noted Kuchipudi dance exponent Padma Shree Dr Padmaja Reddy gave away the award during a ceremony held at Pune on August 28th.

The Bhartiya Ratna award has been instituted by the Global Scholars Foundation, a non-profit organisation that recognises individuals and institutions for their outstanding contribution in various fields around the world and makes their work known nationally and internationally. 

While Dr Reddy was the chief guest at the function, well known Bollywood actor, choreographer, writer, LGBT rights activist and motivational speaker Laxmi Narayan Tripathy was the guest of honour. The ceremony was attended by a host of other dignitaries belonging to various fields. Sharing her thoughts on the occasion Dr Saudamini Mohapatra said, “ I am humbled at being conferred with this honour. These awards and accolades  not only fill me with renewed energy and enthusiasm but also increases my sense of  responsibility towards my patients. I only hope that I can serve them well and ensure their best health at all times”.
