Assistance Presented on the occasion of International Day of PwD

Bhubaneswar: International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated at BJB College, Bhubaneswar by Khurdha District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with District Administration. A mega legal aid camp was also organised with an aim of extending various benefits of Government to persons with disabilities.
The camp was inaugurated by Acting Chief Justice of High court of Orissa-cum-Executive Chairman of Odisha Legal Services Authority Justice Dr. Bidyt Ranjan Sarangi.
As many as 16 Stalls were constructed for this said camp and a legal aid stall was installed for PwDs making them aware of their constitutional rights. A total of 10 Nos of wheel chairs, 5 tricycles, 2 hearing aids, a laptop, one artificial limb, pension and marriage assistance were given to the PwDs on this occasion.
Registrar General of High Court of Odisha Sri Prataya Kumar Patra, Law Department Principal Secretary Manas Ranjan Barik, Member Secretary of Odisha legal Services Authority Sri Sudipta Acharya, Deputy Secretary Sri Smruti Ranjan Mohapatra, Assistant Secretary Sri Srujan Saraswat, Khordha Collector K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy, District Judge-cum-Chairman of District Legal Services Authority Sti Nisith Nisank, Secretary Saudamini Singh, DCP Sri Prateek Singh, ADM, Bhubaneswar Sri Rudra Narayan Mohanty along with other officials were present.
