Nrutyadham All India Classical Dance Festival 2023 concludes


Bhubaneswar: The 6th edition of two-day all India Classical Dance Festival & Guru
Naman Dance & Music Festival 2022- 2023 concludes with much fan fare. In the concluding
ceremony, Guru Alok Kanungo from Kolkata awarded with, prestigious Dr, Snehaprabha
Samantray award, while Guru Niranjan Rout was awarded as Guru Sj. Durga Charan Ranbir
Award. The dignitaries present on the occasion were, Dr Sneha Prava Samantray, Ex-HOD,
Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Smt Deepti Mishra, Director Doordarshan, Sj Prabodh Rath, Secretary,
Sangeet Natak Academy, Sj Subodh Acharya, GKCM, ORC, Chief Executive and Dr Prof. Jaganath
Kuanr were graced the occasion with their presence.
The 2 nd day of the dance festival started with the Odissi performance by Dr. Subhashree
Pattnaik, which was based on the love story of Radha and Krushna. The audiences were
spellbound with the performance of Dr. Subhashree pattnaik’s performance from Rasalila of
Brindavan.
After that the dancers of Nrutydham Group performed Dasamahabidya Odissi dance, which was
directed by Dr. Subhashree Pattnaik and then Atanu & Pranab from Kolkata performed
Bharatnatyam dance.
Nupur Group performed Panchabhuta Odissi dance, which was directed by Guru Niranjan Rout.
In the last performance Rurdrakhya Foundation performed Odissi dance, which was directed by
Guru Bichitrananda Swain. The glittering show witnessed eminent dancers mesmerizing the
audience with their dance moves and the dance festival showcased performances by the
eminent artists from various parts.
