Coffee Board Chairman appreciates Koraput Coffee for having global appeal


Bhubaneswar, 05/03/2025 : Coffee Board Chairman Shri MJ Dinesh met Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture and Farmer Empowerment, Energy Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo at his office in Lok Seva Bhawan and discussed on various issues today. On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Agriculture Department Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee was present and gave his thoughtful opinion.

Various flavors of coffee are currently being grown in natural surroundings in Koraput district of Odisha. It is highly appreciated by the people for its taste and quality and now Odisha’s Koraput coffee has found a place in the global coffee map. Not only Koraput, coffee is now also being grown in Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Keonjhar.

Coffee Board Chairman Shri Dinesh discussed with Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singhdeo about the steps being taken to increase the market connectivity and production of these. Shri Singhdeo emphasized on increasing the production of coffee, developing infrastructure and opening more outlets. As a gift, a coffee packet and a book on coffee were presented to Shri Singhdeo.

During this meeting, Coffee Board Joint Director Shri Shivakumar Swamy, Odisha Nodal Officer Shri Upendra Kumar Shah, Coffee Board Member Shri Manoj Dubey, Shri P.R.M. Ravichandran were prominently present.
