Abha Khatua Shines at 27th National Federation Senior Athletics Competition in Bhubaneswar


Bhubaneswar: Maharashtra’s Abha Khatua, an Asian silver medalist, took center stage at the 27th National Federation Senior Athletics Competition held on Monday at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium. The 28-year-old athlete set a new women’s shot put record of 18.41m, surpassing her previous throw of 17.56m in March.

Animesh Kujur Narrowly Misses National Record in Men’s 200m at Athletics Competition.

Odisha’s sprinter Animesh Kujur narrowly missed breaking the national record in the men’s 200m event during the 27th National Federation Senior Athletics Competition in Bhubaneswar. Despite winning gold with a time of 20.62 seconds, Kujur fell short of the record set by Amlan Borgohain in 2022.
