Financial support to the Betel vine cultivators of Odisha under ‘Special Fruit Specific Scheme’

The State Government after careful consideration has been pleased to provide financial support for maintenance of the existing Pana Baraja units @ Rs 2500/- per unit, maximum up to two such units per grower. In addition, schematic assistance will also be provided for creation of new Pana Baraja units with a minimum size of 200sqm per unit to the tune of Rs. 20,000/- per unit.
The State Govt. provides interest free crop loan up to Rs 1.0 lakh for betel vine cultivation using KCC. Supply of betel leaves is exempt from the levy of GST in terms of Entry SL No. 93 of the CBIC Notification No. 02/2017- Central Tax (Rate) dated 28.06.2017 and matching State Tax Notification issued by Finance Department, Govt. of Odisha.
