Indus Towers Launches ‘Digital Transformation Van’ in Odisha – The Soul of India


Nuapada,  23rd May 2025 – In a significant step towards bridging the digital divide in rural India, Indus Towers, one of the world’s largest telecom infrastructure companies, in collaboration with NIIT Foundation, launched its Digital Transformation Van (DTV) in Nuapada, Odisha. The event was graced and inaugurated by Mr. Adhiraj Mohan Panigrahi, Hon’ble MLA of Khariar, Nuapada District, marking a new chapter in digital empowerment for the region.

The solar-powered, 21-seater Digital Transformation Van is equipped with high-speed internet, modern computers, printers, and e-learning tools. It is designed to deliver free doorstep digital education and public services to underserved communities. Over the coming months, the DTV will travel across various locations in Nuapada and nearby districts, offering training to children (12+), youth, women, and senior citizens.

This initiative is part of Indus Towers’ flagship CSR program ‘Saksham’ and aims to provide certified training in basic IT Education, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and Financial Literacy.

The Indus Towers’ DTV also serves as a mobile hub for community awareness sessions, including digital safety, environmental conservation, and waste management. All sessions are conducted by expert trainers from NIIT Foundation, ensuring personalized support for learners.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Adhiraj Mohan Panigrahi said, “It is a proud moment for Nuapada to be part of this transformative journey. I commend Indus Towers and NIIT Foundation for bringing such a powerful initiative to our doorstep. This van will not only educate but also empower our people, especially the youth and women, to thrive in a digital world.”

Since its inception in 2018, the DTV initiative has successfully reached communities in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Latur, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, and now proudly expands to Odisha.
