ISHRAE Bhubaneswar Chapter Celebrates Chartering Ceremony


Bhubaneswar: The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHARE) Bhubaneswar Chapter proudly hosted its Chartering Ceremony, marking a significant milestone in its innovative and dynamic journey within the state.

The event took place at PipulPadmaja Premium Hotel and Convention, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar, with the presence of all association members.The ceremony featured an oath-taking for the Board of Governors, which includes –Immediate Past President, Balaji Kumar Choudhury, President NilachalaKashinathGauda, President Elect, Sachindra Ku Rout, Secretary, Sanjit Ku Acharya, Treasurer, NilotpalaBejof ISHRAE Bhubaneswar Chapter, conducted in accordance with the society’s bylaws.

Originally established as a sub-chapter under the ISHRAE Kolkata Chapter in 2018 at C V Raman Global University underthe leadership of Prof. Sunil Kumar Sarangi.Now the ISHRAE BhubaneswarSub-Chapter has now been upgraded to an independentand converted to chapter. Over the past six years, it has grown to include 65 active members and five student chapters in various engineering colleges and leading institutions such as CVRGU, KIIT, PMEC Berhampur, NIT-Rourkela and WSC.

This significant upgradation is attributed to the dedicated leadership of the current president, NilanchalaKashinathGauda.

On this momentous occasion, Dr Sanjib Kumar Rout, President of C V Raman Global University, remarked, “ISHRAE Bhubaneswar has a crucial role in supporting this growing industry by creating competent manpower, both scientific and technical. In cooperation with academic institutions, from ITIs to universities, it can create trained personnel for the industry and upgrade existing technical staff in the unorganized sector. I am very happy to learn that the small organization we created seven years ago has grown and continues to grow, keeping in sync with industry and business. I am looking forward to seeing a still brighter future for ISHRAE in our city.”

ISHRAE was founded in 1981 under the leadership of Dr. P C Jain in Delhi. Today, it boasts 53 chapters across India and six overseas.

The organization is actively engaged in bridging the gap between industry and end-users in air conditioning and refrigeration, organizing technical conferences to raise awareness, training technicians to enhance skills, providing a job portal for members, and fostering student chapters to inform them about industry advancements and future developments.

The chartering ceremony was graced by the presence of senior society members, including National President-elect Sri Jayanta Kumar Das, President-Emeritus Sri Manoj Chakravorti, Regional Director Sri K KMitra&Bijay Chandra Tripathy, CGM(Planning and Coordination) IDCO.Additionally, a technical seminar on the “Maintenance of Central Air Conditioning Systems to Save Cost and Energy” was held, where Sri Jayanta Kumar Das delivered a keynote address.
