JioAirFiber dominates Odisha 5G FWA market, crosses 2 lakh subscribers mark in July: TRAI Data


Bhubaneswar: Reliance Jio, the leading digital service provider in Odisha, has crossed yet another significant milestone as its immensely popular 5G FWA service JioAirFiber crossed 2 lakh subscribers mark in the state, in July 2025. This has been revealed by the latest telecom subscription data released by Telecom Regulatory Authoriy of India (TRAI). In fact, JioAirFiber dominates the 5G FWA segment in Odisha with over 83 percent subscriber market share and over 2.11 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers across the state. In July, Jio added the highest 16775 new JioAirFiber subscribers in Odisha. It is worth mentioning that Jio’s popular FWA service JioAirFiber has truly been inclusive, especially across the rural and semi-urban landscape, as it overcomes the challenges of last-mile fiber connectivity. It has redefined accessibility and digital inclusion, empowering lakhs of people, including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and families, as they enjoy high speed broadband, unlimited WiFi, 800+ TV channels, 11+ OTT apps and much more.

As per the data, Jio also added the highest number of new subscribers in wireless, wireline and 5G FWA segments in Odisha, leaving behind all other operators. Driving digital inclusion across the state, Jio is empowering over 5.58 lakh homes and premises with world-class, latest home entertainment, unlimited Wi-Fi and high-speed broadband through JioFiber and JioAirFiber. As of July 31, 2025, Jio leads the wireline segment in Odisha with over 50 percent subscriber market share and around 3.47 lakh JioFiber subscribers, which is more than twice that of the nearest competitor. Jio added 12898 new wireline or JioFiber subscribers in Odisha in July, which is more than 73 per cent of the total new subscribers added in the wireline segment in the month. 

According to the data released by the TRAI, Jio further consolidated its No. 1 position as the largest digital service provider in Odisha adding the highest over 59 thousand new mobile subscribers in Odisha in July, while both Airtel and BSNL lost thousands of mobile subscribers in this period, in this period. With this, Jio has over 1.64 crore mobile subscribers in Odisha, further consolidating its market leadership with over 46.4 percent mobile subscriber market share in the state.

It is worth mentioning that Jio recently achieved the significant milestone of 50 crore customers in the country and has also become the largest FWA service provider globally.
