Mitra Cafe Opens New Outlet in Bhubaneswar Amidst Grand Celebrations


Bhubaneswar: Mitra Cafe, the legendary culinary brand with a heritage spanning over a century, inaugurated its much-awaited outlet in Bhubaneswar today amidst grand festivities and enthusiastic participation. The new outlet, located on KIIT Road, Patia, marks yet another milestone in the brand’s expansion journey beyond West Bengal.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, food lovers, loyal patrons, and well-wishers who joined in to celebrate the occasion. The vibrant event reflected the deep cultural and gastronomic connection Mitra Cafe enjoys across generations. Established in 1910 by Sushil Chandra Roy to honour a cherished friendship, Mitra Cafe is a symbol of Kolkata’s iconic ‘cabin culture’.  The brand today is helmed by his son, Mr. Tapash Roy, Director of Mitra Cafe, who continues to steer its legacy forward. Known for its signature Bengali, Indian, Chinese, and Tandoori dishes, Mitra Cafe has built a devoted fan base that spans across regions.

The new restaurant is located at Plot No: 516/1769, 1st Floor, KIIT Road, Above Mochi Showroom, Patia, Bhubaneswar – 751024, and will open its doors to the public from May 16, 2025.
