PhonePe Launches First-of-its-Kind Insurance ForMahaKumbhMela Attendees

Bhubaneswar: PhonePe, today, announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind insurance coverage, designed for travellers attending the upcoming MahaKumbhMela, held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh from January 13 to February 26, 2025. This comprehensive yet affordable insurance plan is available in 2 variants, catering to the needs of a broad spectrum of travellers: Rs. 59 per traveler for individuals traveling by train or bus and Rs. 99 per traveler for individuals traveling by domestic flights.

The MahaKumbhMela is one of the largest spiritual gatherings globally, attracting millions of devotees across all spheres. Recognizing the unique challenges associated with an event of this scale, PhonePe has launched this innovative insurance coverage plan, in partnership with ICICI Lombard General Insurance. This will help address the specific needs of travellers and provide them with peace of mind and financial security.

This launch aims to provide devotees with extensive coverage for various risks, including hospitalization, doctor consultation, outpatient treatment, personal accident cover, loss of checked-in baggage, trip cancellation cover, missed connecting flight cover, and repatriation of remains. Users can avail this plan on the PhonePe platform until 25th February 2025 and have access to complete coverage for the entire duration of their journey and stay at the MahaKumbhMela, ensuring a safe and secure pilgrimage for millions of devotees.
