Special Train for Senior Citizens’ Pilgrimage to Ayodhya-Varanasi to Depart from Bhubaneswar Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, 18th March, 2025: Under the Baristha Nagarika Tirtha Yatra Yojana (BNTYY) 2024-25, the Odisha government has scheduled a special pilgrimage for senior citizens. A total of 775 elderly pilgrims from Khordha, Cuttack, Puri, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, and Dhenkanal districts will embark on a sacred journey to Ayodhya and Varanasi.

The special train carrying the pilgrims will depart from Bhubaneswar Railway Station, Platform No. 1, at 11:45 AM tomorrow. Officials will flag off the train in the presence of dignitaries and well-wishers.

This initiative, aimed at facilitating spiritual travel for senior citizens, is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to support the elderly in fulfilling their religious aspirations.
