TPNODL CSR Team Organizes Felicitation Ceremony for Trainees of Vocational Training Center, Balasore


As part of the “ROSHNI” initiative under its Employability and Employment program, TPNODL CSR team organized a felicitation ceremony for the trainees who successfully completed their training at the Vocational Training Center(VTC), Balasore.

TPNODL operates five Vocational Training Centers across it’s operational area, including two in Mayurbhanj and one each in Balasore, Jajpur and Keonjhar districts. These centres offer diverse training programs such as Computer Training, Tailoring & Embroidery, Assistant Beauty Therapy, Spoken English, Basic Electrical Home Appliances, Security Guard, and Retail Services. The initiative aims to enhance the employability of youth and unemployed women by equipping them with relevant skills.

Since its inception, TPNODL’s Vocational Training Centres have successfully trained 1,881 students, of which 795 have secured placements in organized sectors with companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Balaji Finanace, Bajaj Finance, DIC, and Shahi Export Pvt. Ltd. Currently, 1,017 students are undergoing training at these centres.

The Felicitation Ceremony was organized for the 3rd batch of trainees from the VTC in Balasore, where 250 students successfully completed their training. With this batch, the total number of 757 students trained from VTC Balasore.

The event was graced by the CEO of TPNODL, Mr. Dwijadas Basak, as a Chief Guest, along with other senior leaders from the organization. Addressing the trainees,    Mr. Dwijadas Basak, CEO emphasized the significance of skill development and remarked, “Vocational Training Centers serve as a bridge between learning and earning, turning skills into opportunities.”

The event celebrated the hard work and dedication of the trainees and highlighted TPNODL’s unwavering commitment to empowering communities through skill development and employment initiatives.
