TPSODL Celebrates World Environment Day with Plantation Drive

Berhampur, June: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) celebrated World Environment Day with a campaign on Our Land, Our Future to promote sustainability among its employees . It ensures the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the planet’s well-being. The initiative took place across Southern Odisha, including at TPSODL’s corporate office and all 19 divisions.

The highlight of the celebration was the “Mega Plantation Drive” held at Medinipur, Tamana Square, Berhampur. Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL, inaugurated the plantation drive. Employees across TPSODL area participated by planting saplings to support environmental restoration.

This year’s global theme for World Environment Day, “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience,” emphasizes the urgent need to address critical environmental challenges. In line with this theme, Tata Power’s organised several other events with the slogan “Our Land, Our Future.”

In addition to the plantation drive, TPSODL organized engaging activities such as “Selfie with Sapling” and a quiz competition to foster a deeper connection with the environment among employees. The “Selfie with Sapling” activity saw employees taking pictures with the saplings they planted, showcasing their dedication to promote a greener environment.
