TPWODL’s Mega New Connection Drive: More Than 2,200 New Connection Applications Registered in just 48 Hours

• More than 3,500 intended consumers visited the camps.

Burla: TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) has successfully organised a two-day Mega New Connection Drive on 7th and 8th August 2025, across its all section, subdivision, and division offices in 9 districts of Western Odisha. This large-scale initiative was aimed at bringing electricity access to intending consumers in urban and rural areas of western Odisha. 

The camps witnessed overwhelming participation, with more than 3,500 consumers visited the designated locations. Out of these, more than 2,200 consumers applications have been registered and more than 700 electricity meters were installed immediately.

For many households, this was the first time they had access to electricity, opening doors to better education, improved health, and enhanced quality of life. The initiative also strengthens TPWODL’s ongoing mission for every house metered electricity connection and infrastructure improvement across Western Odisha.

Residents appreciated TPWODL’s doorstep service model, praising the convenience and promptness of the initiative. The company has reaffirmed its commitment to quality service, reliability, and consumer satisfaction through such proactive outreach programs.
